The crisis caused by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has posed many new challenges to the world. Become part of the solution by participating in the GreenOvation contest.
So-called “Green Recovery” initiatives have become very popular, in response to which a Greenovation (Green Innovation Challenge) idea competition is being organized in Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan under the ECOserve programme.
The competition aims at identifying the difficulties and ways to deal with them, which would mitigate the current crisis and find a green and innovative solution to challenges. In line with the scope of ECOserve and its partners in all three countries, we would like to focus more on environmental issues. (e.g., For Georgia, it can be the direction of Environmental education and awareness, value chains for the use of forests and forest resources - timber, residues, eco-tourism, non-timber forest products, etc.)
Who can participate? – Anyone be it a natural person or an organization individually or as a team. Information on Greenovation can be found either on the Website https://greenovation.hypeinnovation.com/(from March 26) or at Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/GreeNovation-104165051757259. The ideas will be submitted through the web portal from March 29.
The competition consists of several stages: (1) First stage - collecting the challenges submitted by the contestants and their evaluation. (2) the second call will be for the “Greenovative” solutions to respond to the selected challenges, and (3) the final stage - the pitch and award ceremony.
Each participant country (Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia) will have one winner who will be awarded the grant (up to EUR 10 000) provided by ECOserve, to implement the presented ideas.
